My Wedding Vendor Directory

Summary of my wedding vendors:

My whole wedding planning and the process was a breeze, not to say stress-less, but I tried not to be a bridezilla, and I did! Everything was going smoothly, and all the vendors did well in their respective field. I am glad that I hired all the correct people who can deliver!

Engagement Ring: Tomei, One Utama

Wedding Ring: Diamond and Platinum, One Utama
(Read my story with Diamond and Platinum here)
The bottom one is from Tomei, the top one is from D&P
Registration of Marriage: Chempaka Buddhist Lodge

Pre-wedding Photoshoot: Precious Bridal, SS2
(Read my journey with Precious Bridal here)

Wedding Invitation Card: Red Cards (FOC from Maju Palace Restaurant). Red Cards service was slightly un-attentive and made a few errors - printing of the name.

Wedding Live Band: Eswest Music
(note: I engaged by guzheng’s teacher band as my live band that night. It was the best decision ever made! The music consisted of English and Chinese songs played with Western and Eastern instruments. I hired a 5-piece band – keyboard, guzheng, erhu, flute, pipa / guitar without any vocal. Everyone enjoyed the music that night.

Wedding Biscuit (Betrothal Ceremony): Tong Kee, Damansara Uptown
(note: very tasty)

Bride’s Wedding Shoe: Aldo
(note: Although I very much wanted a white bridal shoe, but after countless considerations (i.e only can wear one time, expensive,  hard to match with dinner gowns etc), I finally gave up the idea of buying a white bridal shoe. In my mind, I was thinking to have silver shimmery shoes, and I came across this Aldo and that’s it, my one Aldo shoe that matches all my gowns that night.)

Bride’s Wedding Gown:
2 white gown and one red gown from Precious Bridal;
One purple gown: Marry Merry

Bride’s Qun Kwa: Guang Zhou, China
(note: Dad went to Guang Zhou to play golf, so I gave him my measurements and some photos of QunKwa that I am interested to see whether he can get something there. This is it: A very beautiful QunKwa on my wedding day).

Bride’s Accessories:
Morning pearl necklace and earrings – hand made by my mom;
Morning white flower and red flower – Precious Bridal;
Dinner head piece and earrings – Precious Bridal.

Groom Morning Suit and vest: Precious Bridal

Groom Dinner Suit: Domanchi
We were afraid that Precious does not have Scott's sizing, so we went to Domanchi, Mid Valley to bought a suit (Coat and Pants). The coat cost RM500 and the pants cost RM250. We did not regret the decision as the Domanchi suit fits Scott perfectly! He looks so handsome!

Groom’s bow tie: Precious Bridal

Groom’s purple tie: Marry Merry

Bridal Bouquet: Precious Bridal

Wedding Dinner Venue: Maju Palace Restaurant @ Maju Junction Mall
(note: It is a pork-free restaurant. Well, interesting isn’t it that I had my wedding at a pork-free restaurant. The main reason is because of my Malay colleagues and I have grew closer with them for the past years. I want them to share my happiness on my wedding day. The food was great that night and my Chinese friends even praise the food).

Photobooth:
DIY with Balloons from PartyShop;
A1 size poster designed by my cousin Joanne;
Props: DIY as well as another set from cousin Joanne.
(note: Originally wanted to hire a photobooth that provides unlimited printouts. After getting several quotations (it costs at least RM1k), I gave up the idea. So, I ordered 50 helium balloons for RM200 and used it as background)

Door Gift: Wedoo storycards

Actual Day Photography: Just Another Production
Wonderful photography by Jermenn and his team. So many amazing photos! They did a great job for my wedding day.

Actual Day Videography: Precious Bridal

I am very happy with Eugene's videography for the morning and the night as well. The part where my guests greeted and wishes us at the photobooth was the part that surprised me as I did not expect that part at all! I have no regrets hiring him.

Makeup Artist: Jinelle Chay, a friend of mine.

Personal Bridal Photography: Wanderer Photography

Hope the above list will be able to assist the brides-to-be.

My Wedding Day - Night

After the morning ceremony, the dai kum jie asked me not to wash my hair as I have “wealth” sign on me. Woot! That save me some time in the afternoon since I do not need to wash hair, although I was slightly reluctant not to wash it. However, for my husband, I will not wash it! I want to bring him wealth! Hahahah.

After packing the things that we are supposed to bring to the restaurant, I managed to grab a 15 minutes nap / rest.

When we want to leave that time, it started to rain… HEAVILY! My goodness. Our schedule was slightly delayed and my makeup artist has to wait for me for 30 minutes.

When we reached there, I quickly went for the makeup while Scott settles other matters. After makeup and with my hair still in curlers, I went and practice my guzheng with keyboard player. Yup, I engaged my guzheng teacher’s band. It is a 5 piece band that consisted of guzheng, keyboard, flute, guitar / pipa and an Erhu. It is a western and eastern fusion band that play English and Chinese songs.

About 6.30pm, relatives start coming in. I went back and settled my hair. After settling the hair and changed into my white gown, we were ushered into another room for tea ceremony. The tea ceremony is for those who couldn’t make it for the morning session.

Then dai kum jie asked me to stay inside the room and not come out until the march in. I was like, “What! I dressed so pretty and I wanna take pictures with my friends!”. She said she is just informing me. I didn’t follow her instruction, so I went out and take photos table by table with my friends.

At 8.20pm, it is our march in time! So excited!

Our flower girl - Kaylee and flower boy - Jun Larm

We managed to eat the first and second course before I went back for a second change in dress. At the same time, our SDE photos slide show and video were played.

After the second march in, we were ushered on stage to do the cake cutting and champagne toasting ceremony.

Still got time to do "peace" while march in
Pouring champagne. Oh the champagne was delicious!

After watching our pre-wedding slideshow, it was my performance time! Slightly nervous but I had calmed down as compared to my rehearsal time. My hands were not shivering anymore.  The lights were dimmed, so I couldn’t really see the front, and I won’t be so nervous. I managed to perform my two songs: Colors of the Wind (English) and The Moon Represent My Heart (Chinese) with just a slight mistakes. Hahaha.

Then I went for a 3rd change in gown – the gown that my BFFs got me. When I came back out, it was yum seng time. Table to table.

After that, we said thank you and bid goodbye to our guests.

After all those happenings, when I reach home, I was still wide awake! I think it was due to the adrenalin rush.  I really enjoyed the day and night!
